12 March: The Sustainability Networking Dinner, Dartington

23 February - 8 March: Fairtrade Fortnight
Take part in Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 and play your part by joining a powerful global movement for change! Two billion people – a third of humanity – still survive on less than $2 a day. Unfair trade rules keep them in poverty, but they face the global challenges of food shortages and climate change too. 25 February: Exeter Green Retailing Breakfast Event
This is a free event, taking place at the Phoenix in Exeter between 8.00 and 9.30 am on 25th February. Aimed at retailers, the event will provide useful advice on how to make the most of your resources, practical tips on reducing running costs and your environmental impact. 20 November: DEBI Awards ceremony
The Devon Environmental Business Initiative awards are being held at the stunning headquarters of the Met Office in Exeter. The event starts at 5pm, with the award ceremony commencing at 6pm. Businesses are competing for awards in four categories: Greening Devon, Carbon Reduction, Sustainable Tourism and Food and Farming. To attend the ceremony email DEBI or call 0845 257 3324.
28 November: Plastic Packaging Conference

2 October: National Carbon Footprint Day, UK
The aim of this event, in its first year, is to encourage individuals to pledge to reduce their carbon in five key areas. 25 October: Pumpkin Day, Riverford
